Nepali Folk Art Christmas Rocking Horse Hand Carved Painted Wood Red & White 6x8"

ABOUT: This was a tricky one to determine its source. Image search says Russian, but the motifs never quite align with the various styles of Russian folk painting. India was no luck, so then I searched all kinds of attributes until I saw it: a rocking horse of a different color, but same carved form & painted motifs, stating "from Nepal".

Nepal aka "The Roof of the World".

Though "Nepal rocking horse" yields minimal (yet conclusive) results, one of those results is a collection of stock images of a Nepali maker and his rocking horse creations. Same form as the one of this listing.

CONDITION: Good Preowned - visible wear and/or minor flaws present. Scant paint loss throughout & some cracking on one of the ears.
