Apricot or Peach Lusterware Antique German Mug

This gorgeous antique German porcelain mug features a striking iridescent lusterware finish that shimmers with an opalescent hue under the light. Crafted by Erdmann Schlegelmilch in Altenburg, Thuringia (Saxony) around the late 1890s to early 1900s, it showcases an intricate, high-relief design depicting a pair of ripe apricots or peaches nestled against deep teal leaves. The mug stands approximately 3.5 inches tall with a top rim diameter of 3.25 inches, extending out to a total width of about 4.5 inches including the delicate white loop handle. The base features the authentic, vibrant orange-red circular backstamp with a crown, laurel leaves, and the clear wording "Altenburg Saxony".
