Moomin Mug " Hibernation" by Arabia of Finland 2015 Retired

This is a discontinued 2015 Arabia of Finland Moomin Mug

It it titled "Hibernation" and illustrates the moomintroll waking up from Hibernation.

It was designed by Tove Slotte based on Tove Jansson's Moominland Midwinter book. The mug design is Teema by Kaj Franck

The mug is decorated by Tove Slotte- who for 30 years adapted Tove Jansson's original illustrations for these Moomin Mugs. Tove Slotte retired in 2022

Information about the origins: "The Moomins or Moomintrolls (Swedish: Mumintrollen, pronounced [ˈmʉːmɪnˌtrɔlːɛn]) are the central characters in a series of novels, short stories, picture books, and a comic strip by the Finnish writer and illustrator Tove Jansson, originally published in Swedish by the Finnish publisher Schildts.[2] They are a family of white, round fairy-tale characters with large snouts that make them resemble the hippopotamus. However, despite this resemblance, the Moomin family are trolls who live in a house in Moominvalley"

The books were written between 1945 and 1993.
