MidCentury Japanese "Big Eye" Puppy Kitsch Dog Figurine
A whimsical 1950s/60s Japanese ceramic puppy featuring a stylized, oversized head and characteristic "Big Eye" design with long lashes. Finished with a smooth, airbrushed yellow and brown glaze and handpainted muzzle details. The base is hollow and shows remnants of the original export label, a hallmark of midcentury Japanese production. In excellent condition with no chips or significant surface wear; an iconic example of the midcentury kitsch animal aesthetic.
