Mid-Century Asian Girl & Boy Ceramic Bookends w/ Green, Red and Gold Gilding Cold Paint Finish

This features a girl sitting, minding her own business as she reads her book. The boy, however, must be somewhat smitten w/ her as he is peeking over the other bookend to watch her. These were probably produced in the 1940s or 1950s. These are from a neighbor lady who lived near my grandparents farm. I remember going to Hazel's with Grandma for "tea", in the mid 1960s. And I remember these bookends....Hazel had great taste with decorating. These are in excellent vintage condition, they have only very very slight cold paint wear. The boy has a flea bite on the R hand corner. The boy measures approx 6.25"H, 4.25"W, 2.25" deep, pre shipping the 2 together weigh approx 1 Lb 6 Oz
