Mexican Folk Art Pottery Vase

These textured, matte-finished ceramic pieces featuring hand-painted relief designs outlined in gold are characteristic of mid-to-late 20th-century Mexican makers, such as Ceramica Gardeil, showcases a central relief illustration of a heron or crane bird resting in water surrounded by reeds, and a distinctive 24 karat gold liquid trim. The vessel features unique, looping double handles on either side, typical of hand-thrown folk art pottery from the region. Has a signature of 72 on bottom.
