Mesa International (Hungary) Terra Cotta Casserole, Bean Pot w/Lid, Southwest

This Terra Cotta Casserole or Bean Pot with Lid was handcrafted in Hungary for Mesa International. It is painted in a Southwestern style, with beautiful yellows, purples, blues and greens against the glazed terra cotta red clay. The casserole has never been used - the original sticker remains on the underside. With a height of 8.2 inches (including the lid) and width of 8.3 inches, this vintage piece weighs 3 pounds and 7.4 ounces. It looks like a traditional southwestern bean pot. The casserole is in excellent condition. There are no cracks or signs of wear. There is an unglazed shallow spot on the inner portion of the lid (see pictures 8 & 9) that may be a slight chip.
