Mdina Blue And White Swirl Art Glass Tear Drop Paperweight
Blue and white dynamic wave like swirl within glass. Made in Mdina, Malta. The history of art glass blowing in Malta began in 1968 with the founding of Mdina Glass which introduced the craft to the island from scratch. Before this Malta had no native history of decorative handmade glassware manufacturing. Established by 2 British men Michael Harris and Eric Dobson who then hire Italian glass maestros Vincente and Ettore Boffo who brought Murano glassblowing to the island. Measures 3.75”x2”.
