L.E. Smith Moon and Star pattern candy dish in a vibrant amberina glass that transitions from deep red to a brilliant orange-yellow. This footed compote features the iconic pressed glass design with circular 'moons' and starburst centers, complete with its original matching lid. The glass exhibits a beautiful glow under UV light, characteristic of cadmium or selenium content used in vintage amberina pieces. A stunning example of mid-century American art glass that serves as both a functional serving piece and a striking decorative accent. There is one area (shown in photos) with flea bites on the lid, but otherwise in excellent condition.
