Wood has a shiny finish so it looks like it sealed on the front. It is unfinished wood on the back. It is signed and dated. There is small piece of wood missing (please see photos) that reslts in a loose piece which can be glued down. Ready to hang. Measures 9 1/2" to 10" in diameter
