The Kanawha Glass Company was established in Dunbar, West Virginia, in 1951. The company ceased operations in 1987. This particular mini-pitcher showcases the popular amberina glass technique, where glass is heated and cooled in a way that creates a beautiful red-to-orange gradient. The "American Eagle" design is a recurring motif in Kanawha's output, reflecting a patriotic theme popular in American decorative arts.
