Hazel Atlas Green Uranium Depression Glass Windmill & Checkerboard Vintage Two Luncheon Plates
This is a is a pair of vintage green Depression Uranium glass luncheon plates produced by the Hazel-Atlas Glass Company. Manufactured I. Clarksburg, West Virginia, this charming "Windmill & Checkerboard" pattern features a windmill medallion in the center, framed by a textured checkerboard rim. Made with a trace amount of uranium dioxide typical of the era's green glass formulation, both pieces glow under a black light.
In good condition. There is a small crack near the rim on one of the plates. There is minor surface scratches on the face of the plates from age and use.
Measures 8 inches in diameter.
