SharoninDixie (Sharon Long)
@sharonindixie
Hi, guys! My name is Sharon Long (SharoninDixie). I’m a mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. I love all things antique and vintage, especially ceramic and glass. I currently weave coiled pine needle baskets and visit thrift stores in my free time. I also harvest longleaf pine needles to sell. Since December 2024, I have enjoyed visiting so many different sellers’ online sales that I decided this is the way I want to sell my treasured items. Over 50 years, I have collected a large variety of glass, ceramics, cooking items, frames, Fiesta ware, and many other miscellaneous vintage things. It’s time for them to be adopted. I am a 17 year cancer survivor and thank God every day for my chance of a lot more years to follow in his footsteps. Please take a look at my Buy It Now bin. I’m always open to offers. If this is your first time on District, you can use my code: SLONG723 to receive $5 off your first purchase of $10 or more. I always combine shipping where possible and refund any overages over $1.00.

Handmade By Me Pine Needle Basket
Handmade coiled pine needle basket made from South Alabama long leaf pine needles; all natural materials, raffia and pine needles only. W: 9 3/8”; H: 1 1/4”; D: 7 7/8”. This basket is made using the wrapped coil method. It is said that some of the baskets made by American Indians were coiled so tight they could hold water. My technique is not that good but I think the beauty is still there. This basket is made with tiny stitches of raffia around pine needles. It is then painted with two coats of Modge Podge - matte to prevent the deterioration of the materials. It took approximately 22 hours to complete. This is a one of a kind item and being handmade each basket will look different. All sales are final. Please review all pictures. I am available to answer all questions and provide additional pics if necessary. I appreciate your interest in my products and do hope you will add one to your home or give as a gift.
