Object: Studio Pottery Art Bowl / Chawan (Matcha Tea Bowl style) About the Artist & Piece: Offered here is an exceptional, authentic piece of Mid-Century Scandinavian studio ceramic art by the legendary Danish master potter, Gutte Eriksen. Highly revered as one of Denmark's most influential ceramic artists, Eriksen was famous for bridging rugged Nordic aesthetics with traditional Japanese pottery techniques. Excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, structural repairs, or restorations. Any irregularities in form, glaze thickness, or firing spots are entirely inherent to the artisan's handmade, reduction-fired studio process and add to its unique wabi-sabi character.
