Glass Dome Magnifier Map Reader Vtg 1940s Orr Transfer & Storage Waukesha WI

This is a vintage original 1940s advertising glass dome magnifier map reader paperweight that features promotion for the Orr Transfer & Storage Co. out of Waukesha, Wis. This features a heavy, thick square glass base to secure loose desk paperwork and an integrated clear convex glass dome designed to act as a map reader or fine-print magnifier when slid across ledgers and documents. The magnifier features a four-digit phone number ("Phone 4724") on the advertising because it was manufactured during the manual switchboard era of telecommunications.

In good condition. Does not have any chips or cracks. There are minor scratches on the dome from use and age.

Measures 3 3/4 inches square and 1 1/2 inches tall.
