Eric Norstad Studio Pottery Footed Plate Vintage Wax Resist Frogs Signed 1970s
In good condition. Does not have any chips or cracks. There is light crazing on the back of the plate. While the Norstad studio produced a large volume of tableware featuring abstract leaf motif but this frog design is relatively rare. This striking square slab footed plate features a stylized depiction of two interacting frogs amidst reeds, created using a masterfully executed hand-painted wax-resist technique. Slab-built construction with distinct hand-clipped corners and a gently upturned low rim. Measures 8 1/2 inches square and stands 1 1/2 inches tall.
