Cloisonné is an ancient metalworking technique that involves applying enamel paste into delicate wire compartments, firing the piece multiple times, and polishing it to achieve a brilliant finish. The bowl features an intricate floral motif with pink and white blossoms and green leaves against a rich, speckled brown background. It has a distinctive blue ruyi head border pattern around the rim. The base and rim appear to be made of gilt metal or brass. Pieces like this were often used as decorative accents or for ceremonial purposes and are popular collectibles today.
