Beautiful figurine of a lady with carnations in her hands and a basket of carnations at her feet. Limited edition 1983 porcelain sculpture entitled Cecilia The Carnation Maiden. This sculpture was manufactured by Franklin Mint and designed by Lladro sculptor Fulgencio García. Lladro's unmistakable soft palette and graceful lines make a beautiful sensual display. Her smile is always ready to greet you and her flowers never fade. Designed by Fulgenico Garcia, one of Lladro's best known sculptors. Born in Valencia in 1915, Fulgencio García was educated at the Saint Charles Academy of Fine Arts. He was a painter and sculptor of classicist style. In 1945 he won a prize at the National Exhibition of Fine Arts in Madrid. His collaboration with porcelain company Lladró began then. He created the series of figurines that identify the style of the company in the world markets. Measures approximately 4.75" wide x 9.5" tall. In Excellent Condition. Marked on the bottom and Fulgencio name engraved on the base by the scissors. Very good condition. No chips, cracks, or breaks. Areas of minimal wear are possible due to age, handling, and storage.
