• Hand painted gold handles & trim
• Art Nouveau style, design
• Maroon printed mark on base of bowl & interior of lid:
- "Théodore Haviland, Limoges FRANCE, STERN BROTHERS, NEW YORK"
• Mark circa 1903
• Stern Brothers was a prominent 19th-century New York City department store founded in 1867, famous for its 23rd Street flagship store.
Stern's department store operated for over 100 years, closing in 2001.
