Born in Murano in 1950, he began working in a furnace at a very young age with Master Albino Carrara. Tosi is celebrated for his use of traditional Murano methods like Filigrana, Zanfrico, and Reticello, which he adapts to contemporary tastes. He also introduced the "external sbruffi" technique to enhance color vibrancy. He established his own glassworks studio in 1973.
