Designer: Lillemor Mannerheim-Klingspor Material: Glazed stoneware or fajance Height: Approximately 17.5 cm, 7” tall Significance: Part of a series designed for the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) Lillemor Mannerheim had an internship at Arabia during her art education in the 1940s. Nearly 40 years later, she returned to the factory to design 14 animals. The figurines were sold for the benefit of WWF (World Wildlife Fund). A similar collaboration with WWF had begun at Gustavsberg a few years before. Lillemor's WWF animals were part of the" De hotade" (The Threatened) together with a polar bear by Richard Lindh. The figurines were made of stoneware with rounded shapes and stylized decors. This one is in excellent condition with no breaks, scratches or chips (475419264)
