Antique United States Glass Co Covered Sugar, EAPG, Broughton/Pattee, No. 15112
This antique United States Glass Company Covered Sugar Bowl is a beautiful piece of Early American Pattern Glass (EAPG). It features the No. 15112 design, called both the Broughton design and the Pattee Cross design. US Glass introduced this pattern in 1909 and I estimate this piece came from the early 1910s. It has added green paint to highlight specific design elements as well as gold pain on the rim of the base, the rim of the cover, and the finial. This was to distinguish their pieces from other glass producers at the time. Produced in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, this two-piece set has the double-handled sugar bowl with the matching lid. Both pieces of the set are in excellent used condition. There are no chips or cracks. The green paint remains in excellent condition (no wear), which there is minimal wear on the gold of the base. The gold on the cover shows more wear. Sugar Bowl - 3.1" high, 7.1" long, 4.1" wide Lid - 2.7" high, 4.3" wide I also have a serving bowl in this pattern. Please see my listing at 2cuddlebugs24. I am happy to combine shipping and pass the postage savings along to you.
