I buy what i like and ill kee it for awhile and when it no longer brings me joy (thanks Marie Kondo) i sell it and share it with someone else! Antique Treen Barrel -early 1900s

Antique treen barrel shaped box. Original sticker still on top indicating this small box held steel/wire. Label says “American Steel & Wore Company No. 8 Chicago, Nee York, San Francisco, Denver”. Probably held screw? Or nails? Looks to be some wax on the side. I was afraid to mess with it too much and ruin its natural state of how it was found. Stands about 2.5” tall.
