This is an antique spoon dedicated to General Ulysses S. Grant Union Civil War General. Grant National Memorial is a mausoleum located in the Morningside Heights neighborhood of Upper Manhattan, New York City, in the median of Riverside Drive at 122nd Street. As the spoon indicates, the tomb was dedicated on April 27, 1897. This date marks the official opening to the public. It is the final resting place for both Ulysses S. Grant, the 18th U.S. President and Civil War general, and his wife, Julia Dent Grant. It is the largest mausoleum in North America.
