Antique-"Nonpareil" Pattern in Flow Blue. Manufactured by Burgess & Leigh at Doleport Pottery, England. Shallow Bowl
This would add a beautiful pop of cobalt blue color to a Gallery Wall. It is stunning. This features a detailed central scene of a castle and outdoor landscape w/ buildings and foliage. The rim is decorated w/ an intricate floral and paisley motif, characteristic of the Late Victorian style. These were produced between 1889 - 1919. The back of the plate has a makers mark "Nonpareil" Burgess & Leigh Doleport Pottery" with branding motif and a number 2. All of the information I found stated "Middleport Pottery" This definitely states Doleport Pottery. Not sure of the significance of this. This is in excellent antique condition. Does have minimal surface scratches. There are no chips, cracks, hairline fractures or call outs. It measures approx 8 1/2" diameter, 11 Oz
