Antique Hand-Blown & Hand-Painted Glass Bottle, Victorian, w/Stopper, 9.5"
This antique hand-blown and hand-painted glass bottle is a lovely piece of Victorian-era decor. Handmade in the United States in the 1880s, this decorative bottle was likely originally used for a lady's vanity, either holding perfume or a tonic. The bottle is frosted, with the upper portion painted a lovely light blue that matches its blue stopper. The bottle is circled by three hand-painted cream & lavender blossoms with green leaves in the center of hand-painted purple and cream intricate swags. There are dangling lavender drops where each set of swags gather and matching gold edging around the base and neck. It's beautifully done! The bottle is 9.5 inches high and 3.7 inches wide.
The bottle is in very good condition, particularly given the age of the piece. The bottle has no chips, but does have an internal crack in the neck. You cannot feel the crack on the inside or outside of the neck. (Please see the close-up pictures.) The stopper fits nicely in the bottle neck. It has a chip off the very bottom of the stopper (not visible when in the bottle). Please see the pictures for a full sense of description. Thank you!
