This is an antique English Moorcroft Pottery Hibiscus Small Round Bowl It has a gorgeous glaze and the hand-painted colorful raised floral Hibiscus pattern really stands out. William Moorcroft was the Potter to Queen Mary and he was appointed by the Queen herself in 1928. *In 1928, Queen Mary issued a Royal Warrant naming William Moorcroft "Potter to the Queen." Beloved by royalty and the general public alike, Moorcroft Pottery was fashioned in a variety of styles and colors during the early 20th century. It is marked on the bottom with the Moorcroft marking as well as 'Made in England'. It measures, 4.5" diameter and is 1.30" high. It is in amazing condition. No chips, no cracks. There is some of the usual age-related crazing on the bottom. Crazing is simply the glaze separating and oddly enough, it mostly happens on the unpainted areas that only have glaze, such as the inner area of the underside. Please see all pics, as they are part of the description.
