Beautiful late 19th-century French Limoges porcelain oyster plate by Charles Field Haviland / Gérard, Dufraisseix & Morel. The molded scalloped form features six oyster wells surrounding a central sauce well, lavishly decorated with raised and hand-applied gold gilt seaweed and shell motifs. The heavy gold decoration remains exceptionally bright and gives the plate a striking presentation. Marked CFH / GDM / FRANCE on the reverse.
