Antique c.1900 Jean Pouyat for Limoges Heavy Gold Trim 8.75" Cabinet Plate

Circa 1900, this is a Jean Pouyat design for the Limoges Porcelain industry. 2 porcelain marks on the bottom: Green=J.P/L France is Mark 5 according to the Limoges Porcelain 3rd Ed. reference book and used from 1890-1932. The mark with green laurel wreath with pink ribbon and gold lettering POUVAT Limoges is Mark 9 according to the reference book and used from 1906-1932. This mark was reserved for hand decorated and richly decorated porcelain and is a much more rated stamp. Called a "Cabinet Bowl", it was often used as a deco piece in a China cabinet. It is edged in 24K gold.
