Antique Burroughs & Mountford Pottery Blue Iris Gold Trim Canister/ Biscuit Jar
Beautiful antique Burroughs & Mountford Blue Iris canister with brown and gold accents. Burroughs & Mountford (B&M) was a prominent Trenton, New Jersey-based pottery firm operating from 1879 to roughly 1895 in the Eagle Pottery, specializing in white granite, thin porcelain, hotel china, and decorated, often hand-painted, Victorian-style dinnerware. Their pieces are characterized by high-quality, frequently gilded, and florally decorated. Condition: Excellent condition; no chips or cracks, has crazing throughout. There is a section on the side with a manufacturing defect where it is indented in places, but glazed and painted over. Measures 5.25” x 5.25” x 7.5” tall
