Antique Bavarian RCW (Germany) Porcelain Cream Pitcher, Large 5.2", Lustreware

This antique RCW (Germany) Porcelain Cream Pitcher is from the early 1920s (these pieces were made from 1918-1928). Handmade in Wunsiedel, Bavaria, this large 5.2" cream pitcher (or smaller milk pitcher) is a beautiful example of Art Nouveau style. It features a lustreware overlay in a type of crystalline glaze that created "blooms" of color on the outside of the pitcher. The result is a light blue pattern against a greenish-blue base color, finished with the iridescent glaze to reflect the light. Made by RWC (Retsch & Company) at their plant in Bavaria, this original piece showcases the craftsmanship of German pottery production in the 1920s.

The pitcher is excellent condition. There are no chips, cracks or signs of wear. It is gorgeous!
