Acrylic Painting "Lupine" by Phyllis Riedel, Signed, Matted, and Framed
Maine artist Phyllis Riedel, acrylic painting of lupine, has been professionally framed. Unknown date. Artist's obituary is taped to the back. Small tear in back as shown. Phyllis Cambridge Riedel of West Gardiner. Maine, lived in Lexington MA from grammar school through college. Graduating with honors from Massachusetts State College of Art, she was assistant direclor of the Childrens Art Center of Boston for many years. After moving to Maine in 1952, she ran a small country store until 1966. Mrs. Riedel was a charter member of the Kennebec Valley Art Association and her paintings have been shown at the Harlow Gallery; Hallowell, Maine; the Bangor Library; the Maine State Art Festival, August: the Maine Art Gallery, Wiscasset; the Priscilla Hartley Gallery, Kennebunkport; She won several awards at the Augusta Hadassah shows and participated in one of the traveling group shows of the Old Bergen Art Guild. Her botany prints have been shown at: Maine Art Gallery, Wicasset. Me., Priscilla Hartley Gallery, Kennebunkport, Me., Massachusetts House, New England Wild Flower Garden In The Woods, Massachusetts.
