7-5/8" Raku Pottery Vase Signed by Artist
Really neat piece of art pottery. Glaze colors are white, green and copper with the most fantastic lava-like texture. Getting into the artist's identification has sent me down into quite a rabbit hole. Several have commented that this abstract design is the work of Lewis Krzyczkowski (Laughing Ram Studio) of Vancouver. The style and glaze certainly match up but the signature doesn't quite jive, unless they changed their signature style. They do use a gold marker, though. So that's something right? LOL. Other artists that have been mentioned as a possibility are Ellen Statz, Eric Roberts (Woodshed Pottery) both in British Columbia or Richard Tanaka (Tanaka Studio Pottery). So I'm gonna leave it at that. If you do recognize the true artist, PLEASE tell me.
