#4124 A signed hand-painted Macau export porcelain floral trinket box.

5” x 2” No chips or cracks

Macau has a long-standing tradition of producing hand-painted export porcelain for international markets. Local artisans decorated these glazed pieces with vibrant enamels and rich gilding. These decorative items became popular souvenirs exported globally during the mid to late twentieth century.

Painters in Macau frequently employed traditional Chinese motifs, such as blossoming flowers and exotic birds, set against deep colored grounds. The addition of an artist signature on the base indicates a higher level of individual craftsmanship than standard factory output. Such trinket boxes served both as functional containers for small valuables and as charming decorative accents.
