TEEPEE TEA POT - Shafford, Hand Decorated, ca. 1950 Not the famous Clarice Cliff tea pot -- this one was produced in Japan, probably in the early 1950's. A nice example of Japanese imitating a popular North American and English design. Teepee or Wigwam shaped pot with totem pole, maple leaf and meander designs. Size: 6" high 8" Spout to handle width. Markings: Clear stamp mark on base: Hand Decorated, Shafford . Condition: Lid and pot with no chips but crazing present. Tiny areas of paint loss and some crazing Small hairline on top rim hidden by lid. Hard to find piece.
