#1445 Blue Mountain Pottery owl figurine with iridescent green and blue glaze.

8” no chips or cracks. Blue Mountain Pottery was a Canadian company founded in 1951 in Collingwood, Ontario, by artist Dennis T. Adams. The pottery became well-known for its distinctive "trout glaze," a shimmering, iridescent blend of blue and green, though other glazes were also produced. Their animal figurines, particularly owls and bears, were popular decorative items throughout the latter half of the 20th century. This particular owl figurine showcases the characteristic stylized design and the signature iridescent glaze that made Blue Mountain Pottery recognizable. Such pieces were widely produced and collected, often serving as decorative accents in homes. The company ceased operations in 2004, making its pieces increasingly sought after by collectors of Canadian decorative arts.
