No chips or cracks Fenton Art Glass Company was an American glass manufacturer founded in 1905. Known for its colorful and decorative glassware, Fenton became particularly famous for its "hobnail" pattern, which features raised glass bumps. The company produced a wide array of items, including vases, bowls, figurines, and novelty pieces, often in opalescent glass colors like the blue seen here. This particular piece is a toothpick holder designed in the shape of a top hat, a popular novelty item produced by Fenton. The opalescent blue hobnail glass is a signature look for the company, and these small decorative items are sought after by collectors for their charm and craftsmanship. The indentations on the top of the hat likely served a decorative purpose, mimicking the texture of a hatband or simply adding visual interest.
