#01 Vintage Gold-Tone Abstract Ribbon Brooch with Red & Blue Cabochons and Rhinestones – 3”
A bold vintage statement brooch measuring approximately 3 inches, featuring an eye-catching abstract folded ribbon or stylized bow design in richly textured gold-tone metal. The sweeping, dimensional form is decorated with geometric etched and embossed patterns that give the piece wonderful visual interest.
The upper portion is accented with two vibrant teardrop-shaped glass or resin cabochons in ruby red and cobalt blue, while a curved band across the center is set with a row of sparkling clear rhinestones. The combination of jewel-tone accents, textured gold-tone metal, and the dramatic elongated silhouette gives this brooch a distinctive 1980s–1990s statement jewelry feel.
The reverse is fitted with a traditional pin stem and rollover safety clasp. I do not see a maker’s signature or metal-content mark in the provided photos, so I would list this as unsigned gold-tone costume jewelry.
Condition: Good vintage preowned condition with the red and blue cabochons and clear rhinestones appearing intact. The gold-tone finish remains bright overall with some light surface wear and minor age-related finish variation consistent with previous use. Pin mechanism appears intact.
