#01 Fenton Verlys rose bowl in Rosemilk Opalescent
The mould for this piece was created by a Rouen, France glassmaker Societe Holophane Francais, a subsidiary of Holophane Coumpany, in the early 1900’s. That company’s main line of business was making holophane headlamps. The moulds were sold to Fenton in 1966. Part of this deal was that Fenton would make glass pieces to be given to Holophane employees. This piece was made and given to Holophane employees in 2004. The card that accompanied the piece is pictured from an online resource, but not included with the item for sale.
