#01 Antique 1886–Early 1900s Greiner & Herda Bavaria Rose Porcelain Shaving Scuttle Small Chip On Rim
Beautiful antique Greiner & Herda Bavarian porcelain shaving scuttle, decorated with soft pink roses and green foliage on white porcelain with delicate molded detailing.
The interior has a divided shaving-soap compartment with three drainage holes, designed to allow excess water to drain into the lower reservoir while keeping the shaving soap accessible.
The underside bears the early G–crown–H / BAVARIA mark of Greiner & Herda, a porcelain decorating and manufacturing firm in Oberkotzau, Bavaria. This crown mark was introduced in 1886, placing the piece in the late 19th to early 20th century period.
Measures approximately 3 1/2 inches tall, 4 1/2 inches wide overall, with a 4-inch opening.
Shows age-related wear and discoloration consistent with an antique utilitarian porcelain piece.
