Meet Your Seller
Hi everyone! My name is Liz, and I started watching CLL (and other reseller) videos during the pandemic, and became hooked! I started in 2022 with a few online auctions and graduated to thrift stores, and listed a few things for resale to test the waters. In late summer 2023 I decided to start ramping up and working the biz every day, and started a YouTube channel in late 2023! Just mostly having fun right now and soaking in everyone's knowledge, and learning a TON! By day I work in marketing communications for a small supplement company. For fun I do nature photography and a variety of crafts (when time allows). I love being outdoors in nature, and I apparently also love the treasure hunt aspect of visiting thrift stores! I've found some really cool things so far, and I can't wait to share some of them here with you all! :-) If you are new to District, you can use my code, "LIZAR8" for $5 off your first Buy It Now OR Auction purchase of $10 or more, anywhere on Niknax! Thanks for stopping by!

14 - Peggy Karr Seashells (2000) 10” Appetizer Or Trinket Tray
Peggy Karr started her fused glass journey in 1987. In her book she refutes the Sydenstricker lore that he rediscovered an ancient art and talks about the pioneers that came before him in the 40s and 50s… (I highly recommend the Peggy Karr book as there is a ton of history and info there.) She says she took classes and read books…. She started in ceramics, then into stained glass…then found a book on kiln fired glass and dig out her old ceramics kiln and started experimenting. She mixed here own colors and made her own molds… so her work really stands apart from some of the other fused glass artists. Her pieces are always signed in lower right on the front. This piece measures 9 5/8” x 5 3/4” x 5/8”. Excellent condition.
