#0082 Signed Caithness Scotland Vesuvius art glass Faceted teardrop paperweight 25/650
No chips or cracks 3” x 3” Surface scratch on base
Caithness Glass was established in Wick, Scotland, in 1961 and quickly became a leading name in contemporary paperweight design. The company revolutionized the medium by introducing abstract, modern designs that contrasted sharply with traditional styles.
The Vesuvius design is a classic example of their innovative use of controlled bubbles and vibrant internal colors. These numbered pieces were meticulously handcrafted by skilled artisans using traditional hot glass techniques.
