#0079 A Scottish Perthshire millefiori art glass paperweight with yellow ground.

Perthshire Paperweights was established in 1968 in Crieff, Scotland, by Arthur Butterworth and a small team of skilled artisans. The studio quickly gained an international reputation for reviving and perfecting traditional glass-making techniques, particularly complex millefiori and lampwork designs.

Each paperweight was meticulously handcrafted in limited editions, often incorporating signature millefiori canes containing the company's identifying marks. Collectors worldwide prize these pieces for their exceptional clarity, precision, and artistry before the factory closed its doors permanently in 2002.
