#0072 Cranberry Bubbles signed Joe Rice studio art glass paperweight.

Studio glass art movements gained immense popularity in the United States starting in the mid-twentieth century, shifting glassmaking from industrial factories to individual artist workshops. Independent artisans mastered complex internal techniques, such as precise controlled bubble matrices, to create unique pieces of optical art.

Signed contemporary art glass captures the personal touch and distinct stylistic signature of its maker. Collectors prize these signed works for their artistic authenticity and the high level of individual craftsmanship involved in their creation.
