Vtg. Charleton Fenton Milk Glass Pink Roses/Gold Gilt Powder Puff, No Lid, #192

This vintage Fenton Milk Glass Puff jar is a collectible vanity item from the mid-1940s. Made in West Virginia, the glass piece was purchased by Charleton Decorating for hand-painting (prior to Fenton having their own decorators). This puff jar features hand-painted pink roses and gold gilt detailing on the melon-shaped milk glass, with a diameter of 3.5 inches and a height of 2 inches. The absence of a lid is not a deterrent to using this bowl on your vanity as a trinket dish, a make-up holder, or as a decor piece. Given its age, the piece does show some where, but really exudes a vintage elegance that would make a delightful addition to any collection of vintage glass. (Note: it is possible to buy a lid separately, if desired.) The puff jar is in good vintage condition. There are no chips or cracks in the glass. The paint for the roses is in excellent condition. There is normal wear on the gold gilt - please see pictures for a complete sense of description.
