Widowed mom with one daughter and five cats. Plus a grandma to six fur babies. I also foster kittens for our local SPCA but in my spare time I love collecting anything vintage but especially glass and pottery. Thifting is my passion. For me it's like playing a game of hide and seek. The treasures are hiding and I seek them out. There is no greater thrill than finding the one special "thing" that was hiding in plain sight.

This is a traditional clay teapot made from a specific clay called Zisha found near the city of Yixing in Jiangsa province of China. The handmade unglazed clay is porous allowing the flavors and oils of the tea to be absorbed over time. This traditional style of brewing has been done since the 15th century.
