Vintage Scarce, Gorgeous Fenton Mandarin Red Large Covered Box With Cast Brass Lid
Hand Painted By P. Lane. It slightly reacts to UV light on the outside and even more so inside. Has original card and is like new!!! From Fenton Collector's Showcase: "Fenton Mandarin Red covered box, made for the Connoisseur Collection 1996. Limited to 1250 pieces. From the 1996 June catalog: ”MANDARIN RED Mandarin Red is a Fenton formula used first in 1933. It is a heat sensitive glass designed to show gentle striations where the colorants react to applied heat causing variation in color. Kim Plauché has designed a 22k gold filled chrysanthemum pattern to coordinate with the cast brass lid. Mould originated at the Handel company and was purchased in 1991.” Measures approximately 7 inches wide and 5 tall.
