Vintage Rockingham Equestrian Pitcher, Horse Head Handle, Brown Glaze, 8.5"
This vintage Rockingham equestrian pitcher is a lovely addition to any collection. With a beautiful brown glaze and a horse head on the handle, this medium-sized ceramic pitcher is perfect for any horse enthusiast. The pitcher has a pattern of a horse racing scene with spectators as well as ring of flowers around the spout of the pitchers. I believe this piece is a reproduction of the original design from the 1850s-1890s. (It is in excellent condition, which seems unlikely for a vessel that is 150+ years old.) I believe it was crafted in the United States during the 1950s. It is substantial, weighing 1 pound and 15.4 ounces. The item measures 7 inches in length and width and stands at 8.5 inches in height (base to the top of the handle). This collectible item is perfect for those who love horses and is a great conversation starter. The pitcher is in excellent condition. There are no cracks or crazing. There is a spot on the inside of the pitcher (near the curve) where the glaze either did not adhere or where it has chipped off. Please review the pictures for a full sense of the description. Thank you!
