Vintage Musical Jewelry Box, Sorrento ITALY, Plays Torna A Surriento, Works!

5.25"x5.25"x2.5". Likely 1960-70’s. Lacquered wood musical jewelry box, with a floral violin design on the (hinged) lid. Made in Sorrento Italy, by A. Gargiulo & Jannuzzi. Box has four gold tone metal feet. Inside is lined with red velvet and has a small compartment to hold small jewelry. Musical mechanism is covered with a velvet lined flap, and is also covered by a pane of glass. Musical component works and plays Torna A Surriento. Inside of lid has original sticker by distributor. NOTE

• two very small spots on the edge of lid, please see photos. The one in the first picture almost looks like it may be a part of the piece - it has no difference in feel or texture.
