Vintage Light Blue McCoy cat planter, 5” Long, Not Marked.
McCoy Pottery, established in 1848 in Roseville, Ohio, is renowned for its charming and diverse range of ceramic pieces. The company initially produced utilitarian stoneware but later transitioned to art pottery and decorative items, becoming a household name in the United States. McCoy's designs often featured nature-inspired motifs and whimsical animal figures, reflecting the popular aesthetics of the mid-20th century. This particular cat planter exemplifies McCoy's signature style, with its endearing feline form and soft blue glaze. These planters were popular during the mid-century period, adding a touch of charm to homes and gardens. Collectors appreciate McCoy pottery for its nostalgic appeal, quality craftsmanship, and the wide variety of designs produced over the company's long history. Vintage condition but no chips or cracks… minimal crazing. Ears are not chipped and have glazing on edges. See pictures for condition details.
